Hello, my name is Berenice, and I am a bilingual (Spanish and English) therapist at HopeSprings.  I have experience working with clients who are managing depression, anxiety, ADHD, family and relationships issues, grief and loss and trauma.

During my education and training, I worked with children and young adults in residential care, community counseling, and at Lincoln’s Challenge Academy.  More recently, I supported youth ages 12–17 from diverse backgrounds and their families to help them manage their stressors.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).

During my bachelor’s program, I had the privilege of working with the Spanish-speaking community both locally and in the Chicago area. The youth I worked with taught me a great deal and inspired me to pursue my counseling degree. I am committed to helping clients through difficult moments and doing my best to provide the support they need and connect them with community resources. I look forward to meeting you and partnering with you through your healing journey.
