Do you or a loved one often feel overwhelmed, sad, irritable or stuck? If you experienced something that is difficult to forget, triggers loneliness or makes it difficult to live life to your fullest, maybe I can help. Together we will work on addressing the root causes of these difficulties and build resilience, better overall wellbeing and meaningful social connections.

Hello, I’m Jennifer the lead therapist here at HopeSprings and have been practicing in the mental health field for over 6 years with a prior 15+ years’ medical experience with neurodiverse populations and trauma of all forms.  I am a proud alumnus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and part of this community since early 2003. Personally, experiencing my own complex trauma as a child and medical trauma as an adult, mental health has become my passion. I work to investigate and understand how the inner sense of self works for each person.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and specialize at looking through a trauma informed lese to help guide others and build a better quality of life. The ages I have worked with vary from age 4-99 years old. My personality affects my approach through non-judgement, compassion, and empathy, utilizing active listening and sometimes activities. If you are affected by trauma/PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, depression/mood disorders, abuse, parent child relational issues, emotion regulation or going through a difficult life situation, I am here to help support and guide you to better overall well-being.

I have an eclectic approach to treatment using Trauma Informed Care, Collaborative Problem Solving, ACT, DBT, Neurodiverse DBT, EMDR, Nurtured Heart, Play Therapy Techniques, Sand Tray therapeutic techniques, Internal Family Systems techniques, Trauma Focused -Cognitive Behavior Therapy and an understanding of Neuro Cognitive Development and Psychoeducation. I believe you are unique and deserve your own approach to a better sense of well-being.
