Hello there! I grew up in Champaign and have worked in the community with families and children of various backgrounds. Through my experience, both professional and personal, I have witnessed the strength and resilience of children and their families in the Champaign-Urbana and surrounding areas. I have experience and have had the pleasure of working with children with ASD, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. In addition to working with children, I have experience working with families of the children, recognizing the different factors and supports that influence a child’s life and mental health.

While recognizing the barriers that many children and families face in addition to utilizing the existing strengths of the children and their family, I seek to support children and families as they navigate through whatever challenge has been thrown their way.

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychological First Aid, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). It is through these evidence-based approaches that I model my practice on.  I am also have completed the  40 Hour Domestic Violence Training through the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

I am always interested in learning additional strategies and methods to help clients.  I look forward to working with you and your family!
