About
If you’re dealing with anxiety, shame, feeling down, tough experiences, or anything else, we’re here to work with you. Together, we can find out what’s causing these problems and change the way you deal with them, helping you grow as a person. Our partnerships with local schools, medical professionals and other community providers allows us to provide services that are holistic and specific to you or your child’s needs.
What we offer
Individual, Family and Group Sessions:
- One-on-one or family sessions with a therapist
- Opportunities for peers, parents, and others who have gone through similar life situations to come together in a group setting with a counselor to discuss topics
School-supported Services:
- Through a working relationship with schools, families may learn more about services offered by HopeSprings.
- Our therapists work with teachers and parents to identify interventions that may benefit the student.
Case Management:
Client-centered consultation is available to provide additional services to assist in holistic care and recovery
Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letter Requests:
To best support our clients and community, our licensed clinical therapists carefully assess whether an emotional support animal (ESA) is appropriate and medically necessary. This assessment process typically requires a minimum of six months.
Animal Assisted Therapy Interventions (AATI)
If Animal Assisted Therapy Interventions sound like a good fit for you or your child, we’d love for you to meet Lincoln—our new fluffy therapist assistant! Lincoln is a gentle 7-year-old Siberian Husky mix who is making his rounds at HopeSprings, alongside Jennifer Summers. Together, they provide meaningful therapy interventions tailored to individualized goals and objectives, offering comfort, connection, and support throughout the therapeutic journey.
What is Animal Assisted Therapy Interventions?
AATI is a structured, goal-oriented process that incorporates animals—such as dogs, horses, or cats—into health, education and human services to improve physical, emotional, social or cognitive functioning. These interventions are facilitated by professionals to achieve specific therapeutic goals, fostering a positive human-animal bond.
What are the benefits of Animal Assisted Therapy Interventions?
Animal-assisted therapy significantly improves mental health by reducing cortisol, lowering anxiety, and boosting mood-enhancing hormones like oxytocin and serotonin. It enhances therapeutic outcomes by decreasing resistance, increasing engagement and fostering comfort, making it an effective, non-pharmacological approach for depression, PTSD, anxiety and trauma-related conditions.
Staff Certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a components-based treatment model that incorporates trauma-sensitive interventions with cognitive behavioral, family, and humanistic principles and techniques.
Children and parents learn new skills to help process thoughts and feelings related to traumatic life events; manage and resolve distressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to traumatic life events; and enhance safety, growth, parenting skills, and family communication.
