Hello! My name is Nick, and I’m a therapist with HopeSprings. For over five years, I’ve served Central Illinois in child welfare and crisis intervention, gaining extensive experience with complex family dynamics and various forms of trauma.
Throughout college, I was educated across multiple disciplines to best care for a whole person and trained incoming students in cultural humility. My time dedicated to supporting others has reinforced the fact that our relationships with self and others are essential for change.
In my practice, I aim to create a safe and healthy relationship that works to strengthen your ability to confidently confront challenges brought on by life, to feel comfortable in your own mind, and to find meaning in the world around you. This is mainly done through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and an existential lens.
I have worked with people at all stages from infancy to late life by utilizing strength-based, trauma-informed, and family-centered strategies to help address personal and family concerns. There are no concerns that I shy away from as I specialize in working with young people who have issues with authority and struggle to develop a safe and healthy relationships for themselves. I am committed to finding what will work for each individual!
Education: Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts, Psychology from the University of Illinois; Master of Social Work, University of Kentucky.
