Hello, I’m Margo, one of the therapists here at HopeSprings! I have had the pleasure of working with children and young adults with diverse backgrounds, communities, experiences, and mental health concerns. In addition to working with my clients, I also have experience working with their families to build relationships that foster trust, growth, and balance. I am passionate about watching my clients make progress and I am committed to learning the unique way each person learns and grows best.
I recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a master’s degree in Mental Health Social Work. I am a licensed social worker and enjoy using techniques from several therapeutic modalities to treat mental health concerns. I enjoy tailoring the treatment plan to each client’s individual needs. I have experience working with college students, foster and adoptive youth, adolescents, and school-aged children.
If you are in a place where you feel stuck or hopeless, know that you are working with a therapist who has been there. Something my mom said to me at times when I was struggling has become my philosophy in my clinical work: Borrow some of my hope. If you are in a place where you don’t think you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, borrow some of my hope. I am confident that you are capable of healing and am eager to work with you to get to a place where you can believe that too.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Clinical/Community Concentration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Master of Social Work with a Clinical Focus in Mental Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
