Hello! My name is Emily, and I’m a therapist with HopeSprings. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed in your relationship, questioning parts of your identity, or watching your teenager struggle in ways that worry you, you don’t have to go through it alone.
I specialize in couples counseling, LGBTQ+ identity exploration and support, and teens and young adults navigating adolescence and emerging adulthood. I frequently support clients who are struggling with impulsivity, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, OCD, and depression. I understand how overwhelming life can feel for both young people and the adults who love them, and I work to bring clarity, practical tools, and calm to situations that may feel chaotic.
In my work with couples, I help partners move out of cycles of conflict and disconnection toward clearer communication, deeper understanding, and renewed trust. Together, we slow down the arguments, unpack patterns, and build practical tools for repair and reconnection. I approach LGBTQ+ clients with affirmation and respect, recognizing that identity development can be both empowering and vulnerable. Whether you’re exploring, coming out, navigating family responses, or processing internalized shame, I offer a space where all parts of you are welcome. My goal is to create a space where young people feel safe enough to be honest, and where parents and partners feel supported rather than blamed.
I draw from evidence-based approaches including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered, and Internal Family Systems-informed work. We will focus on strengthening emotional regulation, improving communication, and building resilience in ways that feel realistic and sustainable. I am passionate about supporting you on your journey toward becoming a healthy, confident individual. I believe that hope and healing are possible, and I can’t wait to meet you!
